It will be the first time the social-first franchise ‘Politi¿QUÉ?’ will launch in English.

NBCUniversal’s Spanish-language division Telemundo Enterprises will bring its political information series’ Politi¿QUÉ?, to Snapchat, in English.

The show, to be produced by Noticias Telemundo and hosted by Miriam Arias, is part of Telemundo’s DECISIÓN 2020 news and civic engagement initiative. It will be the first time the social-first franchise will launch in English.

New episodes of the series will roll out on Thursdays through October 29, and will incorporate Snapchat tools viewers of the show to register to vote. Topics will include the electoral college vs. the popular vote, why the U.S. always votes on a Tuesday, voter registration and other topics related to the election and politics.

The expansion of Politi¿QUÉ? comes as Telemundo seeks to continue its growth under chairman Beau Ferrari, who took over day-to-day operations at the division in July. Ferrari succeeded Cesar Conde, who was promoted to a new role overseeing the NBCUniversal News Group. Telemundo realigned the leadership team under Ferrari later that month.

While Telemundo’s linear networks are all in Spanish, the company has occasionally dabbled in English-language programming in its digital offerings, seeking to reach households that speak both languages.
